Here’s a little PSA: There's not number on the scale that will make you more worthy, valuable, or love-able (because you already are). Many of us think that if we could just lose those last 5 or 10 pounds, life would be so much better. We fixate on the scale and allow it to dictate our days. If the number is favorable, we feel great and our mood is lifted; if the number is not what we wanted to see, we feel defeated and crushed, our whole day is ruined. Why do we assign so much importance to a number? What does it really mean? I’m sorry, but I won’t let something as insignificant and arbitrary as a single number on the scale dictate my mood for the day - and neither should you! Think of all the time, effort, and energy we spend when we focus on achieving a certain weight - and, again, WHY is that specific number so important? Think of how much we could achieve if we put that same amount of energy into our family, friends, careers, and passions - the possibilities would be limitless!
